Some of these titles make me smile: Second Additional Protocol to the Convention on Cybercrime on enhanced cooperation and disclosure of electronic evidence.

The EU is now leading on increased and efficient cooperation between member States, other Governments, and the private sector; to assure clarity and legal certainty to digital service providers. This is not just about service providers it includes other organisations and how and when they respond to direct requests from criminal justice authorities for the disclosure of electronic data. This Budapest Protocol is important long-term, as it sets out a matrix of conditions and tests meant to fill the gaps that criminal and terrorist organisations exploit. Having a long-term interest in electronic evidence, if you hold/gather personal data then you should be aware of this as ultimately it will impact how evidence is gathered within, and to/from, member states of the EU. The consultation document is available from this link.
